• THE EMPIRE PICTURES. The ehicf film of to-night's new programme, 'Trotea the Second," is described as a sensational detective drama of a.very high standard. It is 4500 ft long, and exciting episodes follow each other without waste of time. The story is that a banker dies and leaves to his niece (Mabel) all his possessions, which [include aH undeveloped goldmine. The Count secures the fortune and the mine; and enjoys both in wild reckless fashion until Nemesis in the shape of Protea, and her trssty assistant, get upon big track, when after many desperate adventures and encounters, Protea succeeds in bringing tha arch-scoundrel to bay, and restores the wealth to the banker's nieee. A special Keystone fun farce, "The Chicken Chaser," the latest Pathe Gazette, and "How God came to Sonny" (drama), besides "Dynamite as an aid to agriculture," will also be ahoiTß.
