Stormy conditions - extended over the whole country last night, but an improvement was reported from the. east coast districts High south-westerly winds 'have predo- ■ mineted, -and ike barometer 'has risen generally. Forecast.—Present indications are for strong southerly and westerly winds, and a further increase in the barometric pressure; cold and changeable weather .- probable with scattered showers, es- . peciafly in districts with a westerly aspect.
