The beef ' trade in 1013-14 totalled 328,988 cwt, value £446,810. Compared with ten years ago there was an increase of 81 per cent, in quantity and 100 per cent. ; in value. In hides and skins the in- \ crease for last year wag £118,670, an . increase for ten years 120 per cent. Tallow showed an increase for the year of £28,236, and for ten years £228,605. 1 New records for butter and cheese ] were established.
