FOUND IN A PADDOCK.
YOUNG MAN'S LONG JCXPOSUUK Information was convened to the police yesterday that a man had been round in a destitute condition lyiii" under a. haystack in a field at Blac<i>,) ° near Omata. Constable Wroblen.sk i' witih Mr C. M. Upper, secretary of tile Charitable Aid Hoard, accordingly made investigations in the locality indicated, and found a young man named Philip MtCrae, aged 35 year*, lying under the titaok, where it appears lie must have been since Saturday last, lie was very weak and suffering from exposure, and cculd give no coherent account of himself. On being questioned as to what he was doing in that state, 'he said that he would -just a <3 soon die there as any where." He also said that he came frcm Ilawera. In his pockets were bank notes ito 'the value of £7 and a railway ticket which was so wet as to be indecipherable. H e w;is attended by Dr Wade, and removed to the Hospital.
