CAUGHT IN QUICKSAND.
A WOMAN'S SAD DEATH. Times and Sydney Sun Services. Received 8, 5.40 p.m. Paris, May 7. Customs officials found a woman buried in the quicksands in the Hay ot Autliie. With the aid of ropes and plauks they rescued her. The woman disappeared three days ago. It is presumed that she was gathering shells, and wandered accidentally into the quicksand. She was unconscious when extricated, and died in a few hours.
