On the arrival of the Italian reinforcements, showing a resolve to terminate the Bedouin resistance at Cyrenaica, Aziz Bey retired with the Turkish regulars towards the Egyptian frontier, where a fight ensued between the Turks and Berbers, the hitter's casualties being 3000. The Italians, after a sharp fight at Ettangi, in which they lost 19 killed and 222 wounded, routed the Bedouins.
