DISASTROUS EXPLOSION.
FOXTON ISULDINO DAMAGED. ; Per press Association. Foxton, Friday. A gas explosion occurred in a portion of a brick building which was just about to be occupied by Walls, a baker, yesterday afternoon. Workmen engaged on the building smelt gas esaping, and a plumber applied a match (o a joint. Immediately-an explosion occurred, shattering the huge plate glass window in front of the shop, and the fanlight in the kitchen, and tearing off portions of the asbestos ceiling from two rooms. No one was seriously injured. A cracked pipo was the cause of the leakage. The damage done amounted to £.lO or £4O.
