NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
AN UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS. Per Press' Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. _ The National Dairy Show closed this evening, liaving run from Tuesday last. It has proved a magnificent success. The dairy and produce exhibits have, been the finest the district has ever seen. The accommodation of the show hall has been greatly enlarged, and it is now greater than that of any other show ground in the Dominion. Visitors have been here from all parts of the Dominion. The conferences have been very numerously attended. Thanks to the excellent weather generally, the attendance has been a record, the sum of £1025 being taken, which, is £212 better than last year. It is/computed that in the four days 33.5U0 persons passed through the turnstiles and gates. At the Jersey breeders' smoke social last night, a movement was inaugurated supported by Holstein and Ayrshire visitors, to hold a joint social of all dairy breed societies next year, and to form, a combined association for mutual good in approaching the Government and in other ways. Mr. Clifton. Director at the Experimental Farm, after speaking of the Government's extension .of its Holstein. herd; promised that similar attention would, shortly be paid to .Terscvs ami' Avrsjiires. ■ " '"' _____
