STRINGENT' REGULATIONS. By Association —Copyright. AVashington, June 10. Alarmed at the growth of the Australian meat trade, the Department of Agriculture has issued an order that every piece of meat imported from Australia must be examined by local inspectors. Heretofore shipments have :been passed on proof being furnished of •examination of a few specimens taken ;at random. The new order-means a delay of three: days while the examination is proceeding, thus adding consuler,ably to the cost of unloading. : The Ventura has arrived at San Francisco with'a cargo of 1200 packages of -meat
