A HAMILTON BANKRUPT.
WIGS ON THE GIIKKX. Per Press Association. Hamilton, Thursday. An angry scone occurred at the meeting of creditors in the estate of James L. MacGregor, land agent, Hamilton. The liabilities 'were shown at £20(12, and thejissets, house furniture, at £150.' Bankuipt s father, Alex. MacGregor, Masterion, is the biggest creditor with £4OG. Bankrupt stated that undue pressure brought by his father had compelled him to file. Questioned re the motor car oil which £7(l was o\vin«, which lie assigned to his father under a threat'of its being seized, the Assignee said that the act was grossly 'improper, -mid it brought bankrupt under the penal clause. An angry scene folJoAved when the father's solicitor moved a vote of sympathy. The vendors of the eai said they would leave the meetiii" it the motion was put. and eventually stormed out of the meeting, calling out, "Ani quorum, no meeting." Subsequently it was decided not to take action under the penal clause.
