WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD.
.MONTHLY MEETING. (From Our Own Correspondents). At the monthly meeting of thhe above Board there were present Mr. J. Conuctt (chairman), Messrs. Lop per, and Tnrnbull. Correspondence was read from lluirangi School Committee; requesting that the road leading to the school be formed from Masterton Cement Pipe Co., stating that they expected to lie. able to supply pipes from the Waitara works in about three month's time, and that the price would be the same as charged at their Masterton yards; and from Mr. C. Matthews, giving his eonsent to the Board obtaining metal from the Rentrv Hill Railway gravel pit. Surfaceman Giddv reported that weeds had been cut on Sisson Terrace. Haskell and Co. had finished their Wortley Road contract, having deliveitd 1 -Hi yards of metal. Tliey had also e.n tcil 18 yards for repairs on the Manutahi East Road. Surfaceman Palmer reported that the Bertranl Road had been widened where require'!. E. Richards was commencing his metal contract on the same road, and that some stone obtained when forming the road had been sold to him.
