RECOGNITION OF CHINA.

President Wilson has decided to recognise the Chinese Republic immediately. He has also resolved to grant independence to the Philippines at a date to be fixed later. Meanwhile the appointment of a Governor-General will be made, with a commission. The recognition of the Government of Mexico is withheld.
