THE PORT OF BRISTOL.
TRAISED BY AN AUSTRALIAN. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, April 2. Mr. Peake, Premier of South Australia, visited Bristol, and described the Avonmouth docks as a triumph of municipal enterprise. He is convinced that there is room for a great increase in trade between Bristol and South Australia, where Bristol is regarded as a powerful distributing agency. He asked whether the authorities could promise better prices for Australian produce than were now obtainable, and whether freights could be reduced in order to encourage trade.
