FRANKLEY ROAD.

At the presentation of prizes in connection with the Frank ley Road School, the Chairman of the Committee (Mr. W. E. Bendall) congratulated the headmaster and his assistants on the results of the year's work, remarking that the school had advanced a grade during the year, while the headmaster (Mr- Winfield) in his animal report, expressed sincere regret at the loss the school had sustained tlnc,;gli the deat.'i of Miss McDerniid, who had occupied the position of first assistant for six years. Standard IV— First prize for marks, Alexander Reed; second prize for marks, Vera Leighton; first prize for attendance, Cedric Xewell. Standard lll.—First prize for marks and attendance, Eileen Ballantyne; second prize for marks, Winifred Downes; first prize for attendance, Keith Bullot, Elsie Cole, Margaret Lovell; second prize for attendance.
