RULES .AND REGULATIONS: Chopping and Sawing Events (Under the rules of the N.Z. Axemen's Association). —Nominations close with the secretary, Rahotu, and Mr. Stanners, Eltham, on December 9, 1912. Nominations must be accompanied by the necessary fees and performances, otherwise they will not be accepted. In the double-handed sawing events name of mate must be given; otherwise nomination will not be accepted. Handicaps wilL appear in the Taranaki Daily News, Budget and Opunake Times on or about December 13. : Acceptances close December 23. Cycle Events (run under the rules of the N.Z. Athletic and Cycling Union). —Nominations (accompanied by necessary past performances) close on December 12, 1912. Handicaps will appear in the Taranaki Daily News, Budget and Opunake Times on or about December 13. Acceptances at 11 a.m. on day of sports. General—For correct order of starting see books. Five competitors or no event. The committee hold the right to postpone or alter programme. A pistol shot will be fired two minutes beforf, each event. Any competitor not on the mark will be left. This rule will be strictly adhered to. All games will be charged 10s each. Acceptances must be paid on stated date, otherwise nominations will be cancelled. For the convenience of the competitors, Mr. Stauners, Eltham, will rec ive nominations and /acceptances. Luncheon provided on the ground. Band in attendance. Member's ticket 5/-.
