At the annual meeting of the National Mutual Life Association, the chairman referred to the satisfactory results of the year's transactions, which showed new business to the amount of £3,593,000, and a record income of £ 1.284,000 more than in the previous year. Over £520.000 had been paid to policy-holders and £5S!I.000 added to the funds. The rate of interest earned was £4 14s per cent. The report was adopted and the retiring directors re-elected.
