(From Our Own Correspondent). j The ordinary monthly meeting of) director* of the Moa Farmers' Co-op. Dairy Co. was held on .Monday, when there were present: Messrs Jones (in the chair), Brittain, Butler, Egarr, M. Malum, Staehurski and Williams. Mr. Jones reported that the sub-committee set up at the last directors' meeting had fixed the price for the old skim-milk scales at 23s and IGs. Mr. Jones brought down a notice of motion as follows:— "That the motion passed at the meeting held on September 7, viz., That Messrs Jones, Brittain and Egarr be appointed a butter committee, be rescinded." This was seconded by Mr. Brittain and carried. The chairman was instructed to interview the sanitary inspector re the drain at Kaimata creamery, and to report to a special meeting of directors on Saturday, 19th inst. Mr. T. Drake complained of a nuisance caused by the skim-milk at the factory. It was decided to call the manager's attention to the complaint, and to ask- him to report on the same.' The question of free railage on agricultural lime for the first hundred miles wag discussed, the directors thinking that land within, the hundred-mile radius of a lime works was more or less lime-stone \ country, and that consequently the concession should be on the last 'hundred miles instead of the first. It was deoided to acknowledge the letter from the New Zealand Farmers' Union and to advise them that there are no direct importers of manures | in this district; also to acknowledge the letter from the Inglewood Tradesmen's Commercial Association, with the iv | quest that they approach tha Borough \ Council in the matter. The scale of com* { mercial charges as drawn up by the subcommittee was adopted by the Chamber. On" the motion of Mr. Thomson, seconded by Mr. Messenger, the following resolution was passed: <: Tliat this Chamber considers that the time is ripe for the-erection of a town hall, and gives the Borough Council's scheme its whole-hearted support, and will co-operate with' the borough to I bring the matter to a su«cessful issue."
