Whilst playing in the Star-Rovers football match on Saturday, Pott, of the Ro.vers . team, had the misfortune to break his collarbone.

At the Palmerston North winter show there w,cre nearly »ne thousand entries in the weight-guessing competition, the first prize being a free trip to Ghrittclmrch and a week's board at Coker's Hotel. A number of people guessed the correct weight of the two sheep, and if was then decided that the results be taken on the guess of one sheep only. This was won by 11. C. Young, of Ilawera, whoso guess was 041b loz.
