A ballot of the postal and telegraph employees of the Commonwealth with regard to certain grievances, the chief of which was the broken shift rate of pay, unanimously resulted in favor of extreme action in the event of the Government's failure to favorably consider their claims. A TEN HOURS' DAY. Received 5, 10.5 p.m. Paris, July 5. The Chamber, by 450 to 50, agreed to a Bill establishing a ten hours day for all employees in trades and industries.
