LAND FOR SETTLEMENT
THE OTAWHAWO BLOCK. By Telegraph—Press Association. DannevLrke, Last Night. ■ At a public meeting; held at Norsewood it was decided to urge the Native Minister to acquire the Otawhawo .block, between Norsewood and Takapuna, for closer settlement. The proclamation on the block is now expiring, and it is necessary to jet it proclaimed for another term, <S,herwi=e it ig considered that there is a possibility of private individuals acquiring a long lease. It was decided to ask the Government to cut the block up into suitable areas for dairying, and to petition the Native Minister regarding the matter.
