THE FRENCH STRIKE. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Paris, July 2. The Seaman's Union has declared the negotiations ended and that they must fight to the bitter end. The Dockers' Federation has issued an order practically calling a sympathetic strike. STRIKE IX WALES. London, July 2. A strike of six thousand colliers at Cwmtillery over the dismissal of a miner for posting trades union notices led to serious rioting. The colliery premises and the manager's house were wrecked. The local police being unable to cope with the situation, reinforcements were sent, whom the rioters received with volleys of stone. After many baton charges the streets were cleared. Several Tomen and children were injured.
