THE DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE. By Cable—Prea* Association—Cojyrigkt. New York, July 2. Governor Woodrow Wilson secured the nomination of the Democratic Party, after the forty-sixth ballot. THE LAST SCENES. Baltimore, July 2. Many disorderly scenes took place before the adjournment. Governor Woodrow Wilson was-nominated by acclamation, and this was confirmed by the roll call. TnE FINAL BALLOT. WILD SCENES. Received 3. 11.20 p.m. Baltimore, July 3. The final break in favor of Woodrow Wilson came at the forty-sixth ballot, when the leaders of Underwood's and Clark's partisans hastily released their delegates from all obligations. Immediately a wild scene of confusion ensued. Wilson's supporters dashed into the hall hugging each other. The delegates stood on chairs shouting madly that the nomination should be made by acclamation only. The delegates from New York and Missouri were unmoved. The roll call revealed 090 for Wilson, and SO for Clark, which was immediately changed to a unanimous vote. Mr. Bryan, in speaking, was non-com-mittal. He said that what he wanted most was the nomination of the progressive candidates. The Times' Baltimore correspondent says that Wilson is a good campaigner and brilliant, and is bound to attract most of that restless spirit which is hankering after reform. Roosevelt would be confronted by a rival as progressive as himself. New York, July 3. Roosevelt's manager has announced that the National Convention of the new Progressive Party will be held at Chicago on August 1. THE VICE-PRESIDENCY. Received 4, 12.20 a.m. Baltimore, July 3. It is reported that Clark has accepted nomination for the Vice-Presidency.
