DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs E. Griffiths and Co. are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals, Messrs Mills and Sparrow, dated April 4: Butter.—The strike still drags along, although in some districts the men have resumed work, and it is now generally expected that work will he in full swing after the holidays.

Danish: Although imports show a largo I decrease when compared with the same I period last year, trade has heen very ■ slow even at Inst week's reduction, and ( it has been found necessary to further reduce the quotation by throe, kroner. Siberian: The quality of present arrivals is very good indeed, and the butter is meeting with a little better demand. Australian: We regret that we cannot report any improvement in the demand; in fact, if anything, this week has been worse than last. Although quotations are nominally unchanged, buyers have no difficulty in getting .on at less money; indeed, there are so few buyers that seller.? generally seem afraid to refuse any reasonable bid that is made.

New Zealand: Trade has been quiet, and the s.s. Ruapehu is not yet cleared. The s.s. Tainui is now due, and we are hoping Hint there will be a better demand next week.

Cheese.—This market has .held up very well indeed, and as the s.s. Ruapehu's and Delphic's cargoes are practically cleared, there is no doubt that the s.s. Tainui's (shipment will meet with a good demand on arrival. FROZEN MEAT.

Tho Xew Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date May 10:

Frozen meat—The demand for mutton is improving. The market for beef is firmer. The market shows increased firmness for lamb.
