TAKAPUNA MEETING. CONCLUDING DAY. Auckland, Last Night. The Takapuna Jockey Club's meeting was concluded to-day in fine weather and with an excellent attendance. The sum of £22,362 was put through the tote, as compared with £11,173 for the second day of last year. The total investments for the meeting amounted to £41,307, as against £21,172 on the first and second days of last year's meeting. Results were as follows: Moana Handicap, of 100 sovs, seven furlongs. —P. Denny's Cloudy Dawn, 7.5 (H. Gray), 1; Invader, 7.13, 2; Master Dix, 7.5, 3. Also started: Kaween 8.6, Pukewera 7.13, Tipua 7.13, Belle Crispin 7.11, Maria Regina 7.5, Avalon 7.5, Countree 7.5, Rutter 7.5, St. Lewis 7.5. Won by a neck. Master Dix was half a length away. Before the racing started the steward* had B. Deeley, the rider of Captain Soult in the Stewards' Handicap on Saturday, before them, it being alleged by the look-out steward (Mr. Geo. Cutts) that he had not ridden his horse to the best advantage in that race. Deeley, in his statement, said that Wee Olgo had run the field out soon after they jumped off, and his mount had lost several lengthsUnder the circumstance!? lie had ridden the horse to the best of his judgment. The stewards accepted the explanation, | but warned Deeley as to his riding in the future.

While being taken back to Ellerslie after Saturday's racing, Master Theory got away from his attendants and received injuries which prevented him being started to-day.
