Cecil Wilson, ex-Bishop of •Melanesia, in an interview on work in the Pacific Islands, declared that grog was still sold all over the New Hebrides, lie suggested as remedies that the pres- i ent administration should "appoint magistrates in each island and appoint native advocates in the land courts, also j that both French and English should be spoken by officials of the condominium. The natives knew only pigeon English and had no chance. before the French courts. He also advocated a proclamation against the importation of alcohol.
