The Meteorological Office las issued the following summary and forecast:— Strong south-easterly winds have predominated, with cloudy., and showery weather. The barofbster rose everywihere' during tjhe night, but has remained steady 4»-day. Present indications are for changeable an& showery wea.thcf, especially on the East Coast of the litoitfi Island. Easterly and semtheaatejlywinds, moderate to strong, will probaTJty prevail. 'The barometer harf a rising tendency in the northern districts, but a fall is due shortly in the southernmost districts.
