' Glass 1 (DOUBLE FURROW).—First prize £5 5s and special; 2nd, £2 10s and special; 3rd, £1 10s. A special will be given for the best upon up or riiljre of Hi furrows. Class 2. (SINGLE FURROW).—Ist prize. CI and special; 2nd, £2 and special; 3rd, £1 "is. Class 8 (SINGLE FURROW), for boys under 18.—1st prize, £3 and special; 2nd, £1 10s and special; 3rd, £l. A special prize of £1 10s and trophy ■will be awarded to the best turn-out in Classes 1, 2 & 3. Entrance Fees. —Class 1, 5/-; Class 2, 4/-; Class 3, 3/-. Separate entries for best turn-out, 1/- in each class. Entries will be received up to 5 o'clock on FRIDAY, July 20, at Waitara. RULES. 1. All teams to be ready to start at 10 a.m. 2. Each competitor in double-furrows to plough % acre, and in single furrow half acre. 3. Double-furrow ploughs to gather four Tounds (16 furrows), to be the full depth, 6 inches, on the third round. 4. Single-furrows to gather a ridge of 10 furrows to be the full depth, 5 inches, on the fourth round. 5. The time allowed in each class will be five hours from 10 a.m. Any com--1 petitor exceeding the five hours will be disqualified. 6. All competitors must finish with a] clean up or seed furrow. Jvo feather-J edge allowed. j 7. No handling allowed by any com-' petitor or other person. 8. No other person but the competitor to be allowed on the ground laid out for ploughing after'the first round. 9. In special prizes for Classes I and 2 for best turn-out, horses and harness must be the bona fid« property of the entrant. 10. Should the entries be less than three in number in any class, the judges will award such prizes as they deem fit. 11. Entrance fee must accompany the entry. 12. Three judges will be appointed, and their decision will be final. JUMPING COMPETITIONS. To start at 2 p.m. Class I.—MAIDEN JUMPING. For riders and horses that have never won a jumping contest. A sweepstake of 5/each, with a special prize from the Association. Class 2.—OPEN JUMPING. For allcomers. A sweepstake of 10/-, with a Bpecial for the winner from the Association.
