WRECK OF THE ROEBUCK
A BREAKFAST INTERRUPTED. By Cable.—Press Association,—Copyright. London, July 20. When, after leaving St. Helier, Jersey, the Roebuck struck, 140 passengers were breakfasting. The tremendous shock swept the crockery and food from the table, and the deck near the bows was soon level with the water's edge and the forecastle and forehold flooded. There was no panic, and the passengers and mails were quickly rescued.
