RURAL WORKERS
A REQUEST DECLINED. By CaWc—Press Association—Copyright. Sydney, July 20. Mr. Beeby declined to accede to the request of a deputation from the Dairy Farmers' Conference to strike out from the Industrial Disputes Bill clauses affecting rural workers. The deputation claimed that other industries were in a position to pass on the increased cost to the consumers, but the price of butter could not be raised. The deputation also strongly resented the charges of child slavery in the dairying districts.
