Louisiana sugar planters and producers examined in the House of Representatives by the Sugar Trust Investigation Committee; asserted that a reduction of duties would ruin the domestic production of cane sugar and free sugar would annihilate the cane and beet industries.

The death roll at Mullheim now totals fifteen. , EX-SHAH ENTERS PERSIA. Teheran, July 18. The ex-Shah has re-entered Persia. The number of the force accompanying him is unknown. SPIRIT WAREHOUSE ON FIRE. London, July 18. A fire do a Cardiff beer and spirits warehouse led to riots and looting, in which twenty persons, were injured. The military were summoned.
