SCULLING.
A proposal is on foot to establish a professional sculling handicap at Akaroa on the same lines as at Parramatta. Dr. Thacker is to be asked whether his offer of £1(K) for a professional handicap, made on the day of the Whelch-Arnst race, still holds good. Whether it does or not, there is every probability of the handicap being instituted, as the idea is enthusiastically received in Akaroo.
