BOWLING
NORTHERN ASSOCIATION. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Lost Night. The council of the Northern' Bowling Association to-night granted the application for affiliation of the Kak'aka Club (Nelson). The council considered a letter from the Auckland Provincial Association, stating that the members of its associated clubs desired to tour the North Island' next season, Doubt was expressed; as to the wisdom «f recognising the Auckland provincial centre as the controlling body, and the association decided to signify their approval of the tour and refer the Auckland Association to the various clubs as to arranging a programme. The council concurred in suggestion to hold' a conferento in August to consider the amalgamation of the Aiuckland, Northern and New Zealand Associations, and appointed Messrs' A. 8. Keith. M. Casey (Auckland), and T. Bush (Wellington) delegates, with power to add in the event of the New Zealand) Association sending more than two delegates'! It was understood that the conference might he held in Chri.«tcliurch or Wellington!.
