ADDITIONAL BENEFITS,

During thp national insurance debate Mr. Lloyd-George made a concession whereby an insured man's wife who worked and was insured should receive sick pay at the rate of 7s Gd a week, besides the maternity benefit. The sub-section witholding sickness and disablement benefits from boys and girls was omitted, Mr. McKenna accepting Mr. Lee Smith's amendment fixing benefits at 5s and 4s for boys and girls respectively.
