-Mi;. JOHN BEVAN, EX-M.P. By Telegraph—Press Association. Hokitika, Last Night. The death of Mr. John Bevan, member for llokitilca in the House of Representatives twenty-seven years ago, occurred here this morning at 9 o'clock. As a Masonic ritualist, he had few equals and perhaps no superior in the Dominion. During his long term of office he was called upon to perform many important Masonic ceremonies, including the installation some years ago of the late Sir Donald McLean as District Master of Wellington.
