DEATH OF A CHILD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Yesterday. A twelve-year-old girl named Bessie Watson died suddenly when playing in the West Christchurch school playground yesterday. She had been romping with other girls for some time. The inquest showed that the trouble was due to a weak heart. KILL..., BY A FALL. Auckland, Yesterday. Peter Hill, aged 35, was found at the mouth of the Parnell tunnel this morning with his neck broken and his skull fractured. He had evidently fallen from the high cliff. He was alive when found, but died shortly afterwards. He was a married man, with a wife and family in Wellington, when he arrived three weeks ago. FATAL ACCIDENT. Masterton, Last Night. News reached Masterton to-night that a fatal accident had occurred near Tewharau this afternoon. Two men, named Albert Nicholson and R. T.| Douglas, were driving in a brake with a load of wire, when the vehicle went over a precipice. Nicholson was killed outright and Douglas seriously injured. Dr. Cook and a constable have gone out.
