DAIRY PRODUCE MARKET. Mes : -. E. Griffiths and Co., New Plymouth, are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals, Messrs. Mills and Sparrow, dated November 18, 1910: In spite of the fact of strikes and unrest in the laboring centres we are pleased to say that trade generally has shown improvement. We have had bright frosty weather all the week, and this is certainly in favor of increasing the demand, and decreasing the production on the Continent, which up to now has been maintained on a fairly high level. . :'*? j Danish.—There has been an excellent) demand, and the quotation has been raised 2 kroner.

Siberian. —About 4,000 casks' arrived this which is rather, in excess of what has been coming just lately, but only a very small proportion is fresh made. These meet with a good demand, but the stored parcels are neglected.

French.—The cold weather has had the 'effect of curtailing the supplies, with the result that an advance is announced for next week of fid per dozen on fresh rojls.. There is no doubt that this will cause buyers to reduce their orders and go on to Colonial unsalted. Australian.—The s.s. Osterley, Carpentaria, and Suffolk landed their butters this week, and we are pleased to report that the quality turned out well generally. The Queensland butters especially opened up in much better order than they liave done for some time past. There has been a good demand, and all the best brands cleared early in the week at slightly higher rates than last. The improved demand on secondary butter which we mentioned in our last report has continued, and buyers favor these rather than Siberians. After all, there is not such a wonderful quantity of Australian butter in cold store; ana a week or two's good trade will soon clear them up so that the market today looks in a much better position than it has been for the last few weeks. New Zealand.—As we mentioned last week the quality of the s.s. Turakina's butter, with the exception of one or two lots, has given genera) satisfaction, and there is no doubt that, this will create a good demand for the s.s. Athenic, which is now in dock, We do not ex : pect her butter to be on the market before Monday next, but we fully anticipate that higher prices will be realised. The color of the butter is a little high at the present moment, which rather confines it to certain districts.

CHEESE. The demand continues fairly steady, and for really fine goods, Is advance is obtainable. There are about 3000 crates of cheese on the s.s. Athenic, but buyers will not place any orders for these until they have inspected the quality.
