PALMERSTON SHOW GROUNDS.. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston X., Last Night. At a meeting of the Manawatu and West Coast A. anil P. Association to-night a proposal was submitted on behalf of Mr F. Bryant, of Pa'merston North, to exchange the present show ground for 38V» acres" of land fronting Featherstonstreet. and with a frontage to Pascalstreet, valued at £IO.OOO, and a payment of £BOOO, with'the right for the Association to remove its fencing, buildings, etc., to the new site. Mr. Justice Sim heard argument to-day in the case of McGrath v. the Minister of Internal Affairs. This was an originating summons to determine the question of whether the plaintiff, Sub-Inspector i McGrath, is entitled to the rights and benefits conferred bv sub-section 3 of section 50 of the Public Service Classification and Superannuation Act, 1,008.
