Ideal weather again prevailed for the third day of the Wellington Racing Clubs meeting. The attendance was weil up to expectations, and there wore good tields in every instance, while ail the eventis were despatched promptly. Close finishes were the order of the dav. RohnkofTs sensational victory in the Summer Handicap met with general a;.'probation, and for his scoring a New Zealand record he received a great ovation from the public. Also ran: Ko-ii-noor, Formless, Varna, Sonite. The winner came away with a line sprint in the •last fifty yards and won by half a length. Time, 4S)sec.

Summer Handicap, of 500 sovs., one mile—T. H. Lowry's Bobrikoff (10.i). (F. Wilson) 1, Effort (7.12) 2. Merrivonia (7.10) 3. Also ran: Cruciuella, Tumut, Sir Tristram, Kilindini, Te Puna. Bobrikoff put up a wonderf-.il performance, winning as he liked, with a length and a-half to his credit, in the New Zealand record time of lmin 39 1-5 sec. He received a great ovation on returning to the enclosure. Selling Plate—R. W. Paterson's Expansion 1, Ideate 2, Simplex 3.
