MR. BLATCIIFORDfS STATEMENTS. By Cable.—Press Association— Copyright London, January 25. Answering Mr. Blatcliford's quotation cabled on January 16, the Chronicle states that the figures' there given were not editorial but were extracted from a correspondent's contribution, and adds that "the Chronicle is officially informed that Krupps in the closing month of 1900 employed 31,000 men at Essen only, the works where guns are made."
