ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS

DISTRICT MEETING. The half-yearly district meeting ot delegates was held at the Foresters' Hall, Hawera, 011 Tuesday last. The following district officers were present:— D.C.R. Bro. C.B. Lever (in the chair), D.S.C.Ii. liro. J. (i. Russell, li.B. Bro C. H. Weston, D.T. Bro. 11. 11. Cattlev, and D.H.S. Bro. C. Tunbridge. The undermentioned Courts were represented by the following delegates: —Court l'aranaki, P.D.C.It. Bro. E. 11. Tribe; Court I Waireka, F.D.C.Ii. Bro. H. N. Goldwater and P.D.C.R. Bro. A. Warring; Pride of Sew Plymouth, Sister M. Stoddart; Fidelity, Sister M. Kemp. There was man present Sister 11. A. Pearce from Court l'ride of Sew Plymouth. It was resolved that in order to. advance the best interests of forestry tho formation of a High Court for New Zealand is of urgent importance. The district officers' report was read and stated that during last lialf-year three members and one member's wife j had died. It was decided to hold tile next delegate meeting at Stratford. The following nominations were taken for district office:—D.S.C.R. Bro. J. G. Kussell for D.C.R.; U-B. Bro. 0. H. Weston for D.S.C.R.; P.C.R. Bros. Fawcett nnd E. A. Golding for D.B. Other routine business was gone through and the meeting adjourned.
