Admiral Poore, in a speech at the Agricultural Show, appealed to employ- ' rs to grant men who passed into tae naval reserve fourteen days* • ainual l raining. He regretted to say that the attitude of employers wm tot satisfactory, and men trained in the navy declined to enter the naval reserve on taking up civilian Jife, because they found a disinclination on the part of Om employers to allow time for the necessary training.
