WOLFFE'S VALIANT EFFORT. Received 21, 10.13 p.m. London, September 21. J. Wolffe made another attempt to swim the Channel. After being 15 S!ours in the water and almost across, he failed. He was within half a mile of Calais. He was practically exhausted, oxygen having to be several times administered to aim.
