Oil Tuesday, Ist inst., we held our monthly sale of above produce to a ginid average catalogue of 2011 hides, 400 sheepskins, seven casks tallow, calfskins, Imnes, horsehair, etc. Owing to improved outlet for all classes of produce, we had an increased attendance of buyers, and bidding was spirited throughout. Well-preserved hides improved by ,%d to 1 -(1 per lb, sheepskins showing a '/id to %d rise, according to condition. Owing lo increased demand of the latter product for export to London and Canada, we would recommend clients to carefully dry their sheepskins instead of sailing. Calfskins met m-illi keen competition and, considering the quality we otieivd. realised higher prices than anything- readied last season. We expect litis demand will continue for the next few mouths for all carcfully-llayed, well- | preserved, clean call'skilK Bones, tallow, horseli.iir and wool realised fuliy pur with recent rates.
