A DIVINE'S DOUBLE EVENT.
VERY REV. FATHER KEOGH ENTERTAINED. By Telegraph,—Press Association.' Wellington, Last Night. ' Tho Very Rev. Father Kcogh, rector of St. Patrick's College, celebrated a -double event to-day—Mic fiftieth anniversary of his birth, and the silver jubilee of his ordination to the priesthood. Ho was entertained at dinner 'in the afternoon at the College. There was a large and representative gathering, including the Prune -Minister (Sir 'Joseph Ward), the Minister of Education (Mr. Fowlds), the Mayor of Wellington (Hon.' T. W. Hislop), Arch'ibishop Redwood, and many niinent people. At a public gathering 'in the Town Hall this evening Father Kcogh was presented with a p'li, containing 320 sovereigns. He said U would devote the money to the «ration of a laboratory at St. Patrick's College to assist in scientific teaching.
