AUCKLAND SiSSbdUisS. By Telegraph,--Prcs3 Association. Auckland, Tuesday. At the Supreme Court David H.iiiry Kollett was found nut guilty oa a charge of assault with intent itut guilty of conunon assault on a young girl in au Aueklund street. He was sentenced to a year's imprisonment.
WELLINGION SKSBIUX.S.. 'Wellington, Tuesday. Edward George Hansen, an ex-con-tingeiiler, was sentenced at the Supreme Court to-riay to two years' imprisonment for breaking and entering at Eketahuua. Wellington, Last Night. At the Supreme Court to-day a young man named Arthur Nankivell was acquitted on a charge of carnally knowing a girl under 1(1 years 01 age.
WANGANUI SESSIONS. Wanganui, Tuesday. Tlie Supreme Court sessions opened this morning. Judge Chapman, in charging the Grand Jury, congratulated them on the almost total absence of sei'i'crus crime in this district. Geo. Stephen Laurence, ol Urmonuvilfe, who had pleaded guilty in the lower Court to a charge of making a false declaration of birth in respect to his children with- the object of protooting them and tiheir mother, was fined £B.
i Wanganui, Last Night. I The only case board was that in which Llewellyn Price and Arthur Koss were charged with breaking and entering. Late to-night the jury disagreed. IN V EROAKUILL SESSIONS. Uivercargill, Tuesday. In the Supreme Court, Thou. Stott was convicted on a charge of shooting Miss Brown in the arm, and sentence was deferred. This is the case in which prisoner visited the girl's residence, and when she tried to escape, it was alleged he lired at her, inflicting serious wounds. The defence was that the gun was fired accidentally.
