Jn the Federal House of Representatives Mr. Webster asked whetheij, in view of the inadequate and biased nature and the unreliability of the reports and comments of the press on the doings of Parliament, the Government would consider the advigahility of establishing a Commonwealth newspaper. The Premier, Mr. A. Deakin, replied that he was not aware of any unusual charge m the attitude of the press, lie thought the Government was engaged with sufficient intricate subjects at present without tackling a newspaper.
