WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD.

At the monthly meeting of the Waitara West Road Board there were present: Messrs S. Turnbiill (chainna*)), Comictt, Smith, and Western. Mr C. Wills wrote regarding the moving of gates on the Lepper road.—lt was decided to take no further action in the matter at present. The chairman reported that he had been requested to have the roads leading to Lepperton and Huirangi cemeteries formed with the road grader, also portions of Eltliain aud Tate roads.—it was resolved that the grader should be used for this work, not to spend more than half a day on each.

Surfaceman Palmer reported that he had repaired bridges on the York road, aud had formed the lull on the saiac road. Four or five more days with a horse and dray were required to complete the worst places. Surfaceman Paul reported that lie had put dowu 1% chains of metal on tlie Upper road; had been engaged wj'.h road grader forming (il) chains on Corbet t road; 30 chains on Mautahi west, and had nearly finished 42 chains on the Richmond road, Eoi- the remainder of the month he had been getting out I metal from Munro's pit.
