ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
A PAINFUL SENSATION. l'er Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. A painful sensation was caused ill town at 5 o'clock this evening, when it booame known that Win, Daly Revington, of the Post Ollice Hotel, had been found dead in bed bv his son. Deceased had been fooling unwell during the day, and at three o'clock went to his bedroom to take a sleep. At 3 o'clock his son went to call him, and found linn dead. A doctor was called in, who stated that death was due to heart failure. Deceased was an excellent citizen, anil highl> respected and esteemed. He was wellknown throughout the Dominion, He loaves a widow and two sons. A BOY ELECTROCUTED. . Wellington, Last Night. A boy named Francis Chamberlain, 12 years of age, an inmate of the Home of Compassion at Island Bay, while playing near the Home this afternoon, touched a, live electric wire which had been blown down bv the gale. The lad was electrocuted, death being instantaneous. Wairoa, Last Night. The body of a man found the foreshore of the Wairoa river on Friday has been identified as that of Edward Maryott, an Australian. Deceased was a married man, with a wife and dauglitoi in Australia. The evidence showed that he had been drinking, and oil the evenin"- of his death bought sonio methylated" spirits. It seems lie had been under the bridge all the night of the storm, and became Stupid and unable to get away from the rising Hood waters. A verdict to this effect was returned. Hamilton, Monday. Moon, a boy of eight years, was drowned in the V, aikato River while bathing. ~ Wellington, Last Night. George Reed, a master plumber, who injured his spine the other day through falling from the scaffolding of a building in course of erection at Newtown, died in the hospital on Saturday night. At an inquest to-day a verdict of accidental death was returned.
