A TIDAL WAVE.
Per Press Association. Auckland, Wednesday. News received from Samoa hy the Atwi contains an account of a big tidal wave at Matautu, Savaii, on (ilh October. Boats w> re -mashed and much damage was done to the boats and copra-sheds along the water-front. Private residence also sull'ercd. When the wave readied Mr. P.i-iint's residence it was alK.iit six feet high, it smashed the windows and poured into the house, rendering it uninhabitable. The? wave Hiiashcd a buggy-»hcd and destroyed three buggies.
