LONDON WOOL SALES. Received 25th, 9.18 p.m. London, .July 25. The quantity of wool sold to homo buyers was 82,000 bales, to the Continent 55.000 bales, to America 5000 bales, and 24,000 bales were held over, including 10,500 bales of Ifew Zealand. Compared with the Hay closing rates, best merinos, suitable for "the American trade, were fully live per cent, dearer; average sorts were slightly in sellers' favor; short, faulty, especially scoured, a halfpenny to a penny lower; good greasy crossbred, firm and unchanged; shabby, and faulty sorts declined five to ten per cent. Slips were in superabundant supply; finest and coarsest declined a'halfpenny to a penny, and medium on? penny. 'Lamb: Best merino unchanged. New Zealand erossbreds declined a hnlf-pemiey to a penny. The average price realised for fleece portion of the undermentioned clips were: Xgakonui, ll a /,d; Homewood, lid. HIDES MARKET. Received 28th, 12.27 a.m. Melbourne, Julv 25. At the hide market there was keen competition for good condtioned lots, at firm rates.
